Harder than it Looks

I really thought I was well prepared for my presentation, as I practiced on a friend at least 10 times and read through my paper and figures many many times. I didn't realize that practicing in front of a good friend was entirely different than practicing in front of a larger group that was made up of instructors. Next time I will definitely try to gather a few more friends to do a couple practice runs on. I also underestimated how bad my eyesight would be when the computer was a little further away in the real presentation. I could hardly see my speaker notes that I had added just in case. I also thought I would remember all the information I had planned to say during the real thing, but I did get nervous and forgot to say a lot of the information I had intended to share. I am definitely glad it is over, but it was a good learning experience. Next time I don't think I will be as nervous presenting in front of a large group.
